Preparing for and Effectuating the Sale of a Closely-Held Business
On October 30, 2019, Paul T. Rushton, Esq. of the law firm of Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald, LLP will present a seminar titled “Preparing for and Effectuating the Sale of a Closely-Held Business” at the Think Center in Downtown Wilkes-Barre at 11:30 a.m.
The sale of a closely-held business is oftentimes one of the most important and stressful events in a business owner’s life. This can be particularly true for a closely-held business that is managed by a small number of individuals without the assistance of in-house counsel and/or accountants. Paul’s presentation will identify several measures that can be taken by a business owner before embarking on the sale process to reduce the level of anxiety attendant upon the sale of the business and minimize the prospects of incurring liability in connection with the sale. Paul will also describe the various steps that must be taken by a business owner and his or her advisors during the sale process to effectively consummate the sale of his or her business.
Paul is a partner with Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald, LLP and chairs its Business & Finance Department.
